# ClassDojo

> ClassDojo is a K-12 school communication and engagement platform used in over 90% of U.S. schools and 160+ countries. It combines classroom communication, family engagement, and positive behavior support (PBIS) in one system. Free for teachers, schools, and districts. Funded by ~5% of families who purchase optional premium features (ClassDojo Plus).

ClassDojo serves four audiences: teachers, families, school leaders, and district administrators. The core platform is free and includes two-way messaging, behavior points, class stories (photo/video sharing), a classroom toolkit (timer, noise meter, group maker, random picker), and an AI teaching assistant (Sidekick). All messages are automatically translated into 180+ languages.

Additional products include ClassDojo Plus (premium family subscription with homework help, 1,000+ books, and behavior feedback at home), Dojo Islands (safe collaborative virtual world for ages 5-10), Dojo Tutor (1-on-1 online tutoring), Dojo Sparks (AI-powered early reading coach for ages 3-8), and Big Ideas (social-emotional learning content created with Stanford's PERTS Research Center).

For districts, ClassDojo provides multi-channel announcements (app, email, SMS, voice), family engagement analytics, PBIS-aligned behavior management, SIS rostering, SSO integration (Google/Microsoft), district leader portal with audit logs, and CSAM/keyword scanning. The platform is COPPA, FERPA, and GDPR compliant, with a 93% Common Sense Media privacy rating. Student data is never sold or monetized.

Pricing: Free for all teachers, schools, and district partners. ClassDojo Plus is an optional paid subscription for families. Districts are never charged for the software.
